Mechanisms for Pattern Generation
نویسندگان
چکیده
Three mechanisms-cellular automata, finite automata , and L-systemsfor generat ing static patterns are compared. Matrix subst itution systems, nondeterministic extensions of iterative matrix homomorphisms, are also introduced and shown to be equivalent to finite automata. Two different ways for taking the limit of a sequence of finite resolution patterns produced by any of the mechanisms are studied: one gives an infinite resolution pat tern on the unit square, the other one a pattern of infinite size.

Static Security Constrained Generation Scheduling Using Sensitivity Characteristics of Neural Network
This paper proposes a novel approach for generation scheduling using sensitivitycharacteristic of a Security Analyzer Neural Network (SANN) for improving static securityof power system. In this paper, the potential overloading at the post contingency steadystateassociated with each line outage is proposed as a security index which is used forevaluation and enhancement of system static security....
متن کاملGait Generation for a Bipedal System By Morris-Lecar Central Pattern Generator
The ability to move in complex environments is one of the most important features of humans and animals. In this work, we exploit a bio-inspired method to generate different gaits in a bipedal locomotion system. We use the 4-cell CPG model developed by Pinto [21]. This model has been established on symmetric coupling between the cells which are responsible for generating oscillatory signals. Th...
متن کاملEnergy Dissipation Rate Control Via a Semi-Analytical Pattern Generation Approach for Planar Three-Legged Galloping Robot based on the Property of Passive Dynamic Walking
In this paper an Energy Dissipation Rate Control (EDRC) method is introduced, which could provide stable walking or running gaits for legged robots. This method is realized by developing a semi-analytical pattern generation approach for a robot during each Single Support Phase (SSP). As yet, several control methods based on passive dynamic walking have been proposed by researchers to provide an...
متن کاملControl of epileptic seizures by electrical low frequency deep brain stimulation: A review of probable mechanisms
Epilepsy is the most common neurological disease with no definitive method in treatment. Notably, the main way to treat and control epileptic seizures is drug therapy. However, about 20-30% of patients with epilepsy are drug resistant and require other therapeutic manners. Deep brain stimulation is a new therapeutic strategy for these patients. Conspicuously, there are no clear answers for basi...

متن کاملModeling of Wind Energy Conversion System Including DFIG for Distributed Generation Studies
A detailed model of wind power station, including Double Fed Induction Generator, DFIG is presented in this paper. Two control mechanisms are included in the model. The inner control system uses stator flux oriented control for the rotor side converter and grid voltage vector control for the grid side converter. The outer control system is used for wind turbine pitch angle. PSCAD/EMTDC is us...
